We Rebuilt Kustomer So Reps Could Stay With the Customer

If you have used Kustomer, you already know what the platform can do.
The customer timeline. Conversations across every channel. Companies, people, and custom CRM objects, all connected. Search, reporting, knowledge base, routing. Copilot, Signals, Summaries, working in the background of every conversation.
Classic has the depth. That has never been the question.
The Cost Was Never a Missing Feature
As AI takes on more of the routine work, the conversations that reach a human are the harder ones. The ones that need judgment. The ones that need a rep who is fully present, not managing the tool underneath them.
In that kind of work, the cost is not a capability you do not have. It is waiting. It is hunting for the right screen. It is losing the customer for half a second while the tool catches up to where the rep already is.
That half second matters more than it used to.
The Question Was Not What to Add
The question we asked was not what capability to add next. It was whether the workspace itself could keep up with the people inside it, and with the AI now working alongside them.
The new Kustomer experience is our answer. It is the same platform, rebuilt with a modern UI, on modern technology that takes full advantage of what today's browsers can do. It was built for an AI-assisted world, where AI is not off to the side but surfaced beside the work, so a rep can act on it without breaking focus.
Faster in Ways You Feel on Every Click
App load and timeline load are roughly 80 percent faster. That is not a polish pass. It is what happens when you rebuild on a modern stack designed for how today's browsers, and today's reps, actually work.
Hover a conversation and the next screen is already preparing before you click. Reload and the workspace comes back from local memory instead of rebuilding itself from nothing. Switch between conversations and land exactly where you left off. The inbox stays steady while work streams in, so rows do not jump under your cursor the moment something updates.
Across a full shift, that returns 15 to 30 minutes to every rep. More importantly, it removes the micro-interruptions that break focus when the work in front of you is already complex.
New Ways of Working, Not Just a New Coat of Paint
Timeline views are more focused, built around the conversation in front of you, with less chrome competing for attention and a reading width you can tighten or open like a desk.
One keystroke opens a command surface for the actions reps take constantly: assign, snooze, mark done, jump to the next thing. Inbox density is tunable the same way. The left navigation collapses to icons so conversations get more room to breathe. A Recently Viewed panel keeps the customers, conversations, and companies already opened one click away. On a customer timeline, hovering a conversation surfaces a full preview, status, assignee, summary, context, so scanning a complex account stays fast.
It installs like a desktop app and pins to your dock. On a phone, it is a real companion for inbox and reply, not a shrunk-down admin console. When we ship updates during the day, the app picks them up without interrupting a shift already in progress.
AI Where the Work Happens
Insights, Signals, Copilot, and Tasks live in one panel beside the conversation, so context stays on screen while a rep reads and replies.
Accept a Copilot suggestion and it lands in the composer for review before it is sent. Summaries appear in headers, previews, and menus, where a rep is already working. On mobile, a rep can open Copilot mid-reply, insert a suggestion, and send, without ever leaving the draft.
The goal is simple. When AI surfaces something useful, the workspace should help a rep use it immediately. That is what building for an AI-assisted world actually means.
Same Platform. Different Feel.
Permissions do not change. Data does not change. This is not gated behind an AI subscription.
It is available to every customer, on every tier. Switch it on, put it to work on real conversations, and switch back anytime while you transition.
Our own support team has been living in the new experience since May.
"The new agent experience marries speed, with automations, and a sleek look that helps my team build efficiencies while providing a great support experience to our clients. With the new layout and use of AI features like Summaries and Signals, my team has everything they need at their fingertips."
Robert Rupprecht
Head of Technical Support at Kustomer
Customers in Early Access are already seeing the same difference in how their day flows, not because we invented AI for reps, but because the tool finally matches the speed of the work, and surfaces AI in ways that make the human faster too.
"We've been really impressed with the new Kustomer experience. The larger workspace and intuitive interface make navigation seamless. The entire workflow feels faster and more natural. Not only do our agents feel more productive, but the metrics prove it: daily case volume is up, and average handle time is down."

What We Did Not Set Out to Do
We did not rebuild Kustomer to give reps more to learn.
We rebuilt it, with a modern UI, on modern technology, for an AI-assisted world, so they could stay with the customer.
The customer never sees the workspace. They feel whether their rep was fully present in it.
That is the difference this rebuild was built to make.
